The final program of the Bangkok Airways Boutique Series 2019
Chiang Mai - Recently, Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited led by Mr.Nijjapat Piyapant, Vice President - Airport (3rd from left) organized the “Bangkok Airways Lanna Half Marathon”, the final running program of the Bangkok Airways Boutique Series 2019 at Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Chiang Mai. The opening ceremony was attended by Mr.Komson Suwanampa, Vice Governor of Chiang Mai (4th from left), Ms. Pakkanan Winijchai, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Chiang Mai Office (5th from left), Mrs. Darunee Debavalya, Senior Director - Digital Marketing and Communication of Bangkok Airways (2nd from left) and Mrs. Waewta Chaiyapol, Director - Customer Relations and Experience Management of Bangkok Airways (1st from left).
“Bangkok Airways Lanna Half Marathon” was organized to promote Chiang Mai tourism and sports to ensure that participants recognize the importance of a healthy lifestyle. The event was divided into 3 categories which are; Fun Run of 5 kilometers, Mini Marathon of 10 kilometers, and Half-Marathon of 21 kilometers. All runners had an opportunity to experience a unique perspective of Lanna culture and most beautiful scenery of the Huay Tung Tao with Bangkok Airways’ signature boutique touch that features on running shirts, medals and trophies which were designed by stupidnoobmacc, the renowned Thai illustrator behind “BabyBoy” character using iconic symbols of Chiang Mai to integrate into the design.
One of the highlights in this program is “Care the Bear: Change the Climate Change” which is a partnership project between Bangkok Airways and The Stock Exchange of Thailand. The campaign aims to reduce carbon emission from organizing events by segregating the waste, reducing the use of plastic and foam and promoting the re-use of event decorations.
Bangkok Airways Lanna Half Marathon is the final program organized as part of the Bangkok Airways Boutique Series 2019, which took place in 6 boutique destinations of Bangkok Airways; Krabi, Koh Samui, Lampang, Phuket, Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai through 2019.
